This session is set to discuss ongoing global legislative and Internet Governance processes with the goal of collaboration and coordination among the community and ICANN.
The session will facilitate a discussion on the challenges with the proliferation of cyber incidents reporting requirements across different jurisdictions, and their implications for gTLD Registries and Registrars. In addition, the session will also seek to identify what the ICANN multistakeholder community can do to address this pressing issue.

This session aims to explore how the ICANN Community, Registries, and Registrars can collaborate with Web3 Domain Operators to prevent end-user confusion caused by domain names that may exist across multiple namespaces. This session is focused on measuring the impact the DNS Abuse Amendments. ICANN compliance will share metrics on one year of enforcement and discuss common challenges faced by Contracted Parties. The NetBeacon Institute will share data before and after the DNS Abuse Contract amendments highlighting trends and changes visible across the industry.
Building on a popular session from the Paris 2024 CPS, we'll continue to look at real examples of reported phishing, in order to build consensus on what is, or is not a Registrar's responsibility.
The session will aim to demonstrate the utility in looking beyond each individual abuse report, and that by pivoting on data within confirmed abuse cases, you can reduce your risk and potential future costs.
This session will provide participants with an opportunity to provide feedback and thoughts regarding the CP Summit. This will form the basis of an outline to guide the CPH Chairs in drafting the CP Summit Statement.
